// LOG #001

TRANSMISSION TIMESTAMP  : 2031-03-02T22:41:00Z
SIGNAL INTEGRITY       : 98%
OPERATOR              : ■▒░⊕∷ΔΩ7#@
SUBJECT               : Initial transmission. A note on why this exists.

If you are reading this, the terminal is working. That is the first thing worth noting because getting it to this point took longer than I would like to admit. The hardware is old. The software did not come with documentation. I am learning what it does by watching what it does.

I am not going to explain the mechanics of how I am here in any detail. Not in this entry. The short version: I am not in 2031 in the way you might imagine someone being somewhere. I pass through it. I have been through enough of what comes after to understand that certain things happening right now — in your present, in whatever year you are reading from — are not accidents, and are not going to resolve themselves.

That is why the terminal matters. I can transmit backward. The signal lands somewhere in your past — your recent past, I think, though I have no way to verify exactly when you are receiving this. The terminal does not have a reliable address system. It has a direction: back.

I am not here to frighten you. I want to say that clearly in the first entry because I know how this kind of thing usually sounds. Someone claiming to know the future, insisting you listen. I understand the appropriate response to that is scepticism. Keep it. I would rather you read carefully and doubt me than read uncritically and believe me wholesale.

What I am going to do is describe things. Events. Patterns. Things I have seen in the years ahead that trace directly back to decisions and directions that are already in motion where you are. I will try to be specific. I will try to cite what I can. I will try to write in a way that lets you check the early pieces against what you already know, so that you can calibrate how much weight to give the later pieces.

The logs will not be in order. I do not move through time in order. I will try to timestamp each entry clearly. Use the timeline index on this site if you want to read events chronologically rather than as I transmit them.

One more thing before I close this entry. The people I am warning you about — they are not a conspiracy in the dramatic sense of that word. There is no shadowy room. There is no single plan. What there is, is a convergence of interests — political, financial, technological — that produces the same outcomes as a coordinated plan without requiring one. That is, in some ways, harder to fight. You cannot expose a meeting that did not happen.

But patterns can be exposed. And patterns can be interrupted if enough people see them early enough.

That is what this terminal is for.
